OliKadal FM is an independent, unofficial, third-party radio streaming application. It is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or representative of any government entity, including All India Radio (AIR), Prasar Bharati, or any other government broadcaster or body. The inclusion of publicly available AIR radio streams does not imply any government affiliation or authorization. Official AIR streams are sourced from the public broadcaster's website: www.newsonair.gov.in.

1. Overview

OliKadal FM ("the App") is an independent Tamil internet radio streaming application developed and maintained by a private individual. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information necessary to provide the service:

Favorites: The list of stations you mark as favorites is stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device.
Theme preference: Your selected color theme is stored locally on your device.
No account required: The App does not require registration, login, or any personal information.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personally identifiable information.
We do not track your location.
We do not use cookies or analytics trackers.
We do not collect or store audio listening history on our servers.

4. Third-Party Radio Streams

When you play a station, your device connects directly to third-party radio stream servers. Those servers may log your IP address as part of standard internet infrastructure. OliKadal FM does not control or have access to those logs. All audio content remains the property of the respective broadcasters.

All India Radio (AIR): Publicly available streams — official source: www.newsonair.gov.in
Commercial stations (Suryan FM, Radio Mirchi, Big FM, etc.): Streams sourced from respective broadcaster websites.
Community & international stations: Sourced from the public Radio Browser directory.

5. No Government Affiliation

OliKadal FM is a private, independent application. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or authorized by any government entity. Any government-operated radio stations (such as AIR) listed in the App are included solely for the convenience of listeners using publicly available stream URLs. This App does not represent or speak on behalf of any government body.

6. Device Permissions

The Android app requests the following permissions, used solely for audio streaming:

INTERNET: Required to stream audio from radio stations.
WAKE_LOCK: Keeps the CPU awake so audio continues playing with the screen off.
ACCESS_WIFI_STATE / CHANGE_WIFI_STATE: Maintains a stable Wi-Fi connection during streaming.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK: Shows a notification so Android allows background audio playback.

None of these permissions are used to collect personal data.

7. Children's Privacy

OliKadal FM does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The App contains no registration, no user-generated content, and no in-app purchases.

8. Data Security

OliKadal FM does not collect or store personal data on our servers. Locally stored preferences (favorites, theme) remain on your device and are protected by your device's own security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
