World Radio is an independent, unofficial, third-party radio streaming application. It is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or representative of any government entity, including All India Radio (AIR), Prasar Bharati, or any other government broadcaster or body. The inclusion of publicly available AIR radio streams does not imply any government affiliation or authorization. Official AIR streams are sourced from the public broadcaster's website: www.newsonair.gov.in.
World Radio ("the App") is an independent worldwide internet radio streaming application developed and maintained by a private individual. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
We collect minimal information necessary to provide the service:
When you play a station, your device connects directly to third-party radio stream servers. Those servers may log your IP address as part of standard internet infrastructure. World Radio does not control or have access to those logs. All audio content remains the property of the respective broadcasters.
Mobile apps vs. website: The advertising and analytics described below apply to the website at olikadal.live. The iOS and Android apps ship without third-party advertising and without analytics — they request no tracking and collect no personal data. AI Search (below) is available on all platforms and is optional.
AI Search: When you use the optional AI Search feature, the text of your search query (and any language/country filter you set) is sent to Groq, a third-party AI provider, to find matching stations. No account, name, email, or other personal information is sent — only the words you type into the search box. To learn how Groq handles data, see the Groq Privacy Policy. If you prefer not to use it, simply don't use AI Search — normal browsing and filtering work without it.
Advertising: World Radio displays banner advertising provided by Adsterra to help cover hosting and bandwidth costs. Adsterra and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, which may include the use of your IP address and approximate location. We do not share any personal information with Adsterra; ad serving is handled entirely by their network. To learn how Adsterra handles data, see the Adsterra Privacy Policy. You can manage interest-based advertising preferences via your browser settings or tools such as aboutads.info.
Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google) to understand how the App is used — for example, how many people visit, which countries they come from, and which features (such as the "Love this app" button) are used. This data is anonymous and aggregated; it is not used to identify you personally. Google Analytics may set cookies and process your IP address and approximate location for these statistics. World Radio is a private, independent application. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or authorized by any government entity. Any government-operated radio stations (such as AIR) listed in the App are included solely for the convenience of listeners using publicly available stream URLs. This App does not represent or speak on behalf of any government body.
Android requests the following permissions, used solely for audio streaming:
iOS uses the background-audio capability so playback continues, and shows standard lock-screen media controls, when the screen is locked or the app is in the background. It requests no other permissions and no tracking.
None of these permissions are used to collect personal data.
World Radio does not host or own any audio. Streams are third-party broadcasts sourced from public directories. If you believe a listed station is objectionable or infringes your copyright, please report it — in the app tap "Report this station," or email us — and see our Content & DMCA Takedown Policy for the full process. We remove reported streams promptly.
World Radio does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The App contains no registration, no user-generated content, and no in-app purchases.
World Radio does not collect or store personal data on our servers. Locally stored preferences (favorites, theme) remain on your device and are protected by your device's own security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
